The challenge
Rebuild a compromised Joomla website while preserving access to its music, podcast archive and gig history. The work required more than transferring page content: the archive needed to remain useful to listeners and manageable for its publisher.
My role & approach
My responsibility was the technical rebuild, content migration, podcast functionality and publishing tools. The client supplied the visual direction.
Podcast archive & verification
Integrated episode pages, audio playback and RSS functionality. Audited 670 episodes and repaired missing or zero file-size metadata affecting part of the archive.
A subsequent audit found no remaining zero-length enclosure values. This result concerns enclosure metadata; it is not a claim that every audio file was manually listened to.
Custom gig & media management
Built structured gig entries covering dates, venues, locations, categories and galleries. Supported upcoming gigs, grouped historical content and draggable gallery ordering.
Implemented the compact mobile navigation requested by the client and supported Bandcamp, SoundCloud and Mixcloud embeds.
Results & delivered value
Delivered the WordPress rebuild and migration, preserved access to the archive and provided custom publishing tools. The client awarded 5-star feedback for communication, technical knowledge and handling the project’s complexity.
